Classes are taught by Meghan Shanaphy,
a Licensed Kindermusik Educator.  Meghan was born in New York to a family of actors and musicians.  She now lives in Milan with her two bilingual children and her Italian husband.

She studied performance and history at Duke University, and then spent a number of years performing in musicals across the USA.  In 2002, she moved to London where she pursued a career in online marketing,  In her spare time she started a website for mums in her neighborhood, which has grown into a community of more than 1,000 moms!

There are many music and movement programs as well as ELL programs available.  Meghan chose to become a Kindermusik educator because the team at Kindermusik International ensures that the curriculum is current and is supported with the latest research.  The Kindermuik philosphy is rooted in the work of early childhood development experts like Piaget, Montessori, and Greenspan.  Every activity, every song, movement, and moment is carefully planned.  And the best part is… it is a lot of fun!

Meghan trained as a Kindermusik educator in 2011.  She began teaching in 2012 and now has 30 families sharing the wonderful moments and meaningful steps during a Kindermusik class each week.

In addition to sharing music and more with children here in Milan (both Italian speaking and English speaking) Meghan hopes to build a community of families speaking and learning English — so that the learning continues after class has ended through new friendships, playdates and fun.
